When you design your kitchen take the time to get it right and you won’t end up with expensive fixes down the track. Think about the bench space you will need and the storage requirement. i.e. are you cooking for many or a few? Any kitchen needs the basics: plenty of work tops and storage, enough power points, professional plumbing and good lighting.
I’m sure you have heard of the “work triangle” between the sink, the fridge and cooktop. The total space between these kitchen essentials should be no more than seven to 10 metres. Seven metres is the ideal for maximum efficiency and safety. And the kitchen sink is best placed so it has plenty of natural light.
Flat Pack Kitchens
Whether you are renovating or building new, a lower cost option is the flatpack kitchen.
They’re economical because you buy them off the factory floor, instead of having them built to your measurements. But a bit of tweaking and getting the planning and measurements right they can look much more upmarket than you you might think.
The best thing is that there are hundreds of suppliers competing for your business, meaning you have lots of choice in budget and designs. Some can be customised to fit into an a tricky spot.
Despite the guidance available to purchasers of flat pack kitchens, not everyone has the time or confidence or DIY skill to install it. This is we we come in. We’ll make sure your new kitchen is assembled and installed to the to specifications and that it all works out the way it’s supposed too! We’ll work in tandem with our or you trades, so the job is done with as little disruption as possible.
assembly & installation
Yes its so obvious to say, but your kitchen really can be the heart of your home..
Not just for storing and preparing food but for entertaining. The cook doesn’t want to be left alone anymore! Make sure you chat to kitchen design companies and be clear about the needs and flow of your new kitchen space. Keep in mind where existing plumbing and electrics are. Keeping these in the same place will keep your budget down. But, if they need to move we can put you in touch with our recommended suppliers if you don’t have preferred trades of your own.
Like many customers, you probably want to include the kitchen into the living area of your house, so have a think about how many people you need to accommodate (on the other side of the island!)

This is possible with a DIY flat pack solution and very basic quality cabinetry.
And then its from $1000 to $3000, for assembly and installation! For the lower cost, you won’t be getting custom cabinetry but we can make it fit best for your needs.
For full customisation your costs will start to increase by thousands depending on materials and the size of your job. If you contract other trades yourself, this can keep the costs down too.
